[L-USA] How Many Letterboxes?

It has been fun to watch the flurry of recent activities.

I'm curious, if anyone has been keeping count - how many letterboxes are
there out by now? It must be well over 50.

Well, let's see... just a rough count... I believe Alaska and Oregon together
currently have 23 on the map. There are another 24 in the Northeast, and in
the Midwest (plus TN) there something like 20 more. So, I think we have about
67 letterboxes on the "Letterbox USA" map. I personally know of at least 9 or
10 others that haven't found their way to the map, yet. And I know many of us
have boxes just sitting around waiting for decent weather to allow us to place
them. Looks like we will soon reach 100 boxes in the USA!!!! Very
impressive, considering it has not yet been a year since the Smithsonian
article came out!!
